Take a look on Kimberly Woodward interview with photographer Hannah Coates and see what she says about this great photoshoot!
London based photographer Hannah Coates showcases her work in this full of colour editorial. Here she tells us a little about her vision and concepts for this shoot.
What/who inspired you to create this editorial?
“The shoot Oil & Canvas was inspired by
the stunning paintings of Louis Boudreault. I came across Louis’ work back in university when researching for my final major project, and have wanted to do an editorial based upon his style since.”
How did you decide on the look/styling you wanted to achieve?
“I met with the lovely Roxzann Weston and we chatted about the kind of clothing that we
wanted to involve in the shoot. We both agreed we wanted the images to maintain the timeless look of Boudreault’s original paintings, but with a slightly edgier twist. Roxzann knew Lazy Francis’ AW15 line would fit the shoot perfectly, along with beautiful pieces from Elfie, No Added Sugar, My French Gangster and other wonderful lines.“

I love how your background complements your model and coloring. Can you tell us a little about the texture of the background you used?
“I was very keen to hand paint backdrops for this shoot.  I found cloth online and bought
two sheets, which Roxzann and I each decorated. We used different materials such as using natural sponges and masking tape to create the effects seen in the editorial.”

The clothing has wonderful geometric shapes, I see you have incorporated some of the same shapes into your set design as well.
“Yes, I asked fantastic illustrator Kristine Mandsberg if she would also like to be involved. Kristine kindly designed the wonderfully graphic triangle that features in a number of the images.”
What else helped to bring it all together for you?
“We had six great models on board, and in credible make up and hair stylist Mira Parmar, who encouraged us to experiment on the day of the shoot. All of these elements brought together the editorial wonderfully, and helped us communicate something akin to Boudreault’s style, with a modernt wist.”

Beautiful dress for any occasion

I've purchased this dress for my 5 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. It is fun, playful, with bright vibrant colors and the quality is superb. It fits very well and still lots of room to grow into. My daughter can't wait to wear this dress on the first day of school.

A piece of art

Kleitiņa bija dāvana, tāpēc pašai nekādu īpašu atsauksmju nav. Skaista, grezna, skaisti iesaiņota. Paldies
